- Ask about their week and any specific triggers for their anger.
2. Grounding Exercise (5 Minutes)
- Quick Grounding Technique:
- Five Senses Exercise:
- Ask the patient to take a deep breath and identify:
- 5 things they can see
- 4 things they can feel
- 3 things they can hear
- 2 things they can smell
- 1 thing they can taste
- This technique helps bring the patient into the present moment, improving focus and engagement.
3. Exploring Anger (10 Minutes)

- Allow the patient to express their anger without interruption.
- Ask open-ended questions like:
- "What specific thoughts arise when you feel angry?"

- Identify Triggers:
- Work together to identify patterns or triggers related to their anger.
4. Cognitive Restructuring (5 Minutes)
- Challenging Negative Thoughts:
- Introduce the concept of cognitive distortions and how they relate to feelings of worthlessness.
- Guide the patient to identify one negative thought linked to their anger, e.g., "I am worthless."
Example Questions:
- "What evidence do you have that supports this thought?"
- "Can you think of times where this might not be true?"
5. Reframing Exercise (3 Minutes)

- Reflect on insights gained during the session and emphasize progress, no matter how small.
